The draft regional program on phase-out of ODSs and F-gases will be developed in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Fishery, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, regional authorities, and non-governmental organizations. Read more
Conversion of the selected enterprises to ozone- and climate-safe substances and technologies
After the conversion of two fishing industry enterprises to ozone- and climate-safe substances and technologies, 1.77 ODP tons of ozone-depleting substances and 59,283 tons of СO2-eq. will be phased out. Read more
Small grants programme
After the transfer of small and medium enterprises to ozone- and climate-safe substances and technologies with low global warming potential, provision of assistance to the servicing sector in its transfer to environmentally safe alternatives, completion of activities on refrigerant leakage reduction and improvement of energy efficiency at vessels and onshore enterprises, 2.99 ODP tons of ozone-depleting substances and 168,673.8 tons СO2-eq will be phased out. Establishment of the ODS and F-gas recycling and disposal system in the Murmansk oblast
The ODS and F-gas recycling and disposal system will relieve the ODS deficit for servicing the operating equipment and prevent large refrigerant emissions from the end-of-life refrigeration equipment. Read more
Establishment of the training center
At the training center specialists will familiarize with the practice of using low GWP ozone-safe substances and technologies, a safe and environmentally friendly approach to work with natural refrigerants, ODSs and F-gases, the legal framework of their use, and record keeping. Read more
Public awareness in the Murmansk oblast
Raising public awareness and driving transfer to the low GWP ozone-safe technologies will be contributed through the creation of the web portal with information about the Project, conduction of events, manufacture of information and promotional products. Read more
Survey of ODS and F-gas consumption at the end of the Project implementation
The necessary data will be collected for the complex environmental audit of the Project’s outcomes and their evaluation. Read more
Dissemination of the lessons learned in other sectors of the Murmansk oblast, fishing industries of the Arctic zone and the Russian Federation
The Project outcomes will be disseminated to other economic sectors of the Murmansk oblast, fishing industries of the Arctic zone and the whole Russian Federation, and will allow to phase out up to 100 ODP tons and up to 1.6 mln tons of СO2-eq. Read more
