Project “Phase Out of HCFCs and Promotion of HFC-Free Energy Efficient Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems in the Russian Federation Through Technology Transfer” was aimed at fulfilling Russia’s obligations under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
Regional center in Armenia
Project “Development of International Regional Centre of Excellence for Training and Certification and Demonstration of Low-GWP Alternative Refrigerants” was initiated by the Russian Federation and is financed by its contribution into the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol. The center is located in Armenia.
Arctic Council project on the phase-out of ODS and F-gases in the fishing industry of the Murmansk Oblast
The project involves: the phase-out of about 18.65 ODP tons of ozone-depleting substances and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the technical re-equipment of several fishing enterprises in the Murmansk Oblast, the organization of training of specialists to work with ODS, F-gases and alternative refrigerants, the establishment of conditions for the further dissemination of the experience gained.
