Development of the draft regional program on phase-out of ODSs and F-gases in the fishing industry of the Murmansk oblast
Background
The survey held under Phase 1 revealed the following data on ODSs and F-gases used in the fishing industry of the Murmansk oblast:

The average annual refrigerant leakage is estimated at 3.98 ODP t and 24,669.13 t СO2-eq.
Component activities
The planned component activities are:
- analyzing necessary technological upgrade of fish-processing enterprises of the Murmansk oblast and preparing the report to be submitted to the government of the Russian Federation;
- working up the advisability of conversion of fish-processing enterprises using ozone- and climate-safe technologies and substances, with industry experts and unions (associations), and preparing the report to be submitted to the government of the Russian Federation;
- developing the draft regional program on phase-out of ODSs and F-gases in the fishing industry of the Murmansk oblast.
These activities will be financed by the grant of the Arctic Council Project Support Instrument. The co-financing will include the participation of the Federal Agency for Fishery, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and organization of information events by MNRE RF.
Outcomes of the Project
The developed documents will be agreed with the Federal Agency for Fishery, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and submitted for approval to the Russian government.
The component will include activities on the implementation of the Recommendations to the Government of the Russian Federation and Project Supervisory Committee developed during Phase 1.
