Four service companies in the Murmansk Oblast received tools and equipment for environmentally friendly installation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration systems, for working with alternative refrigerants

On September 1-3, 2021, representatives of ICSTI, Implementing agency for the Arctic Council Project, visited Murmansk to transfer tools for working with alternative refrigerants and environmentally safe installation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration systems.
The equipment was supplied as part of the implementation of the „Small grants programme“ component of the Arctic Council Project on the Phase-out of F-gases and ODS at fish and seafood processing enterprises of the Murmansk Oblast (Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation).
Among the supplied equipment are express analyzers and refrigerant evacuation stations, portable thermal imagers, leak detectors and a number of other tools and devices.
The recipients are service companies that have been carefully selected and meet the criteria of the Project, including financial stability and commitment to demonstrate the benefits of participation in the Project.
Not only the supply of equipment, but also training on the safe handling of alternative refrigerants (ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbon refrigerants, HFO, and others) will be organized for the service companies in the Murmansk Oblast on the basis of a Training Center that is also being established within the framework of the Arctic Council Project.
