By now on the territory of the Russian Federation all end-of-life or failed ODS-containing equipment was located at domestic and industrial waste storage sites without any control. ODSs contained in it come into the atmosphere.
The Project provides support to the Russian Federation in elaboration of the regulatory framework necessary to establish an ODS recovery-regeneration system as well as create pilot facilities for ODS collection, destruction, reclamation and storage. At the same time, measures to promote consumers’ refuse to use ODS, develop logistic schemes for ODS collection and training in environmentally-safe ODS recovery and regeneration are expected to be developed and offered for implementation.
