Murmansk oblast Government to support events dedicated to phase-out of ODSs and F-gases

The Government of the Murmansk oblast supports educational and training events dedicated to the phase-out of ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases in the fishing industry of the region and is ready to provide the necessary informational support.

This is the position communicated by Olga Kuznetsova, Deputy Governor of the Murmansk oblast, to the management of the Murmansk State Technical University (MSTU), an organizer of the events.

The educational and training events organized by ICSTI and MSTU within the framework of the Arctic Council Project “Phase-out of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases and Ozone-Depleting Substances at Fish and Seafood Processing Enterprises of the Murmansk Oblast (Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation). Phase 2”, will be held on February 2–3, 2022, in Murmansk:

• February 2. Training session only for representatives of servicing companies of the Murmansk oblast engaged in installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems to introduce special aspects of using alternative refrigerants: ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, and others.
• February 3. Conference “Legal restrictions and technology transfer of the Murmansk oblast fishing industry to effective and environmentally sound refrigerants” for heads and specialists of maintenance departments of fishing enterprises and other organizations of the region that operate refrigeration equipment, specialists in installation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment, teachers and students of field-oriented departments, representatives of environmental protection agencies, executive authorities, and branch associations in charge of the development of the fishing complex.
