UNIDO Translated Film «The Antarctic Ozone Hole» into Russian

«The Antarctic Ozone Hole», produced by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) purposely for the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, was translated into Russian by the UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation.
The film tells about the history of discovery of the ozone hole, effect that the biohazard UV-radiation exercises on the humans and biosphere, methods to measure ozone content of the Earth atmosphere as well as mechanisms of atomic chlorine formation in the stratosphere as a result of halocarbon breakdown.
We recommend the film for schools, secondary and higher vocational institutions and various environment-related events.
