4th Global Fishery Forum and the exhibition of the seafood industry and technologies Seafood Expo Russia

On September 8-10, 2021, the 4th Global Fishery Forum and the exhibition of the seafood industry and technologies Seafood Expo Russia were held in St. Petersburg.

Representatives of the Project implementation group of the Arctic Council visited the exhibition and the forum to participate in the round table „Environmental refrigeration technologies for the fish processing industry of the Russian Federation“ and other events of the business program, hold negotiations with Project participants, and collect information about refrigeration technologies.

Round Table “Ecological refrigeration technologies for the fish processing industry of the Russian Federation“

As part of the business program of the exhibition, a round table “Ecological refrigeration technologies for the fish processing industry of the Russian Federation“ was held. The event was organized by the Murmansk State Technical University (MSTU) with the sponsorship of GEA.

The round table was moderated by the manager of the Arctic Council Project Artem Kushnerev, who also presented the report „Legislative restrictions on the use of ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases in the Russian Federation“.

Presentation of the Arctic Council Project “Phase-out of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases and Ozone-Depleting Substances at Fish and Seafood Processing Enterprises of the Murmansk Oblast (Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation). Phase 2” was made by the technical expert Alexander Chukhchin.

MSTU presented the training center being established in Murmansk, and GEA devoted their speech to the myths associated with the “difficulties of using natural refrigerants”.

The round table was attended by representatives of refrigeration, engineering and operational companies; divisions of the NOREBO holding; companies and organizations participating in the Project (MSTU, BarentsCool), the Russian Union of Refrigeration Industry Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom).

After the event, negotiations were held with representatives of MSTU on training specialists in equipment maintenance and arranging a meeting with the heads of fishery organizations on the basis of MSTU on February 2-3, 2022.

Collecting information about refrigeration technologies and negotiations with Project participants

Representatives of the Implementation Group visited the exhibition stands of the Project participants: LLC „FC „Polar Sea+“ (NOREBO holding), LLC „MurmanStroy“, LLC „Murman Fish“, „BarentCool“ Ltd, and also took part in the round table „Modern refrigeration solutions for ships, fish processing plants, and storage warehouses“.

During the negotiations with GEA, an agreement was reached on the creation of a working group of enterprises promoting eco-technologies to the Russian market, as well as GEA support for the development of the training center.

Negotiations were held with the President of the Russian Union of Refrigeration Industry Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom) on cooperation (in particular, in the information sphere) and certification of specialists in the refrigeration business.

Within the framework of the exhibition, representatives of the Project Implementation group had the opportunity to get acquainted in detail with refrigeration technologies and equipment presented by GEA, Ingenium, ThermoCool, TermoDizayn, Mayekawa, MSK-Leader and others.
