Edict of the president of the Russian Federation “On reduction of greenhouse gas emissions”

For the purpose of implementation of the Climate Doctrine of the Russian Federation endorsed by executive order of the President of the Russian Federation of December 17, 2009, No.861-рп, I resolve that:
- the Government of the Russian Federation:
a) shall ensure reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to 75 % against the 1990 emission level by 2020;
b) shall approve the greenhouse gas emission reduction activity plan with indicators reflecting greenhouse gas emission reduction by economic sectors within a period of 6 months. - The Edict shall take effect from the day of its official publication.
