ICSTI and Rossoyuzkholodprom signed a memorandum of understanding

On August 5, 2015, in Moscow the International Centre for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI), the Executing Agency of the UNIDO/GEF-MNRE Project, and the Russian Union of the Refrigeration Industry Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom) signed the Memorandum of understanding.

In pursuance of mutual interests, the parties agreed the following:

  • jointly participate in the development of the refrigerating, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning sectors in the Russian Federation;
  • assist consumers, producers, and service providers of the sectors in the phase out of ozone-depleting substances;
  • promote advanced and environmentally-safe methods of equipment production organization and service provision in the sectors;
  • create conditions for development of the up-to-date Russian legal framework covering sector activities;
  • provide Rossoyuzkholodprom members with information about the legal framework related to the sector activities, and technologies meeting its requirements;
  • develop training courses and organize training in new technologies for producers’ and service providers’ specialists;
  • regularly inform Rossoyuzkholodprom members about results obtained by Russian enterprises after conversion to ozone- and climate-safe technologies;
  • organize visits to demo projects under implementation for Rossoyuzkholodprom’s representatives and familiarize them with results of training projects;
  • expand international links and interaction, improve foreign economic cooperation.
