16.10.2013 - Conference “Natural refrigerant ammonia. Chemical and technical security of the Russian Federation”
On October 16, conference “Natural refrigerant ammonia. Chemical and technical security of the Russian Federation” took place in Moscow. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, UNIDO, and Global Environmental Facility and attended by more than 100 representatives of Russian ministries, trade associations, research institutes, large public and private users of refrigerating systems, Russian and foreign producers of natural refrigerant-based systems. 16.09.2013 - All-Russian Competition “Protect the Ozone Layer and Earth Climate”
At 11 a.m. on September 16, 2013, a ceremony of awarding the winners of all-Russian competition “Protect the Ozone Layer and the Climate of Earth” took place in the conference hall of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The competition was held as part of the formal events of the Year of the Environmental Protection in pursuance of the Russian President’s Decree No. 1157 “On conducting the Year of the Environmental Protection in the Russian Federation” of 10.08.2012 and Edict of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 2189-p of 26.11.2012. The competition participants were students of schools, secondary vocational and higher education institutions. The competition organizers were: the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). 10.06.2013 - 13.06.2013 - Working meeting with the Turkmenian Ozone Unit
On June 10–13, Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, became the venue of a working meeting of the Turkmenian Ozone Unit and the Project Management Unit of the UNIDO project for HCFC phase out in the Russian Federation. The meeting was dedicated to consideration of environmentally safe alternatives to ozone-depleting substances and a set of proliferation measures to be implemented on the territories of Russia and Turkmenistan. 01.03.2013 - Session of UNIDO–Business Working Group
On March 1, 2013, the session of UNIDO–Business Working Group took place in Moscow. The Group was established in pursuance of decisions of the meeting “Prevention of Illegal Import of Ozone-Depleting Substances into the Russian Federation and Decrease of Their Releases and Leakages at Maintenance of Equipment Containing Such Substances” conducted on January 25, 2013. 25.01.2013 - Russian MNRE Meeting for the Prevention of Ozone-Depleting Substances Trafficking and Decrease of Their Releases and Leakages
On January 25, in the Hall of Russian MNRE Board, meeting “Prevention of Illegal Import of Ozone-Depleting Substances into the Russian Federation and Decrease of Their Releases and Leakages at Maintenance of Equipment Containing Such Substances” was held. The meeting was attended by more than 60 persons including representatives of federal executive bodies (MNRE of Russia, MIT of Russia, MOI of Russia, FCS of Russia, and FTS of Russia); heads of major manufacturers and suppliers of refrigerants; industry associations and self-regulated organizations working in the field of HVAC&R equipment installation and maintenance. 17.09.2012 - Authors’ reading dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol and the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer in Saint Petersburg
On September 17, 2012, authors’ reading dedicated to the 25th annivesary of the Montreal Protocol and the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer took place in the assembly hall of the Institute of Refrigeration and Biotechnologies of the Saint-Petersburg National Research University of Information, Mechanics and Optics. Among the participants were: scientists, university’s lecturers, students, candidates for a master’s degree and postgraduates, and representatives of business community. Read more
14.09.2012 - Competition “Protect the Ozone Layer”
On September 14, competition “Protect the Ozone Layer” took place on the territory of the Microclimate and Building Automation center on the base of Engineering College No. 19 established with support of UNIDO. The competition was timed to the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer. Read more

04.10.2011 - Workshop “Elimination of CFCs contained in aerosol metered dose inhalers (MDI) in the Commonwealth of Independent States”
On October 4-5, 2011, in Moscow, workshop “Elimination of CFCs contained in aerosol metered dose inhalers (MDI) in the Commonwealth of Independent States” organized by UNIDO and the Global Environment Facility took place. The topic of the event which participants were representatives of such Russian ministries and agencies as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development, Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation, as well as Russian and foreign manufacturers of MDI and medical equipmemnt, ministries and pharmaceutical groups of CIS countries, UNIDO international and national experts and consultants, is highly topical. 16.09.2011 - The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer
On September 16, 2011, the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer was celebrated in Moscow for the first time. This event was timed to the commencement of the implementation of the Project for ODS phase out in the Russian Federation. The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer was held with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation (MNRE), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Global Environmental Facility (GEF), and state polytechnic college #19. 21.08.2011 – 27.08.2011 - Business trip to Belgium and the Netherlands to familiarize with European F-gas legislation
From August 21 to 27, 2011, PMU of the UNIDO/GEF Project for ODS phase out in the Russian Federation studied the European experience of F-gas regulation. During this trip we could communicate with law drafters, authors of HVAC&R certification system, representatives both of certifying authorities and facilities that undergo certification, i.e. installation companies, and equipment manufacturers. 03.03.2011 - Conference “Presentation of the UNIDO/GEF/MNRE Project” at Climate World exhibition
In the beginning of March 2011, at the Expocenter Krasnaya Presnya, a conference dedicated to presentation of UNIDO/GEF/MNRE Project on ODS phase out took place during Climate World exhibition. At the conference representatives of government authorities, international organizations and largest companies in the sector of HVAC&R discussed the most topical issues related to implementation by our country of its commitments under the Montreal Protocol.
